Forecast improving for afternoon
Expected thunderstorms may not threaten play
Thunderstorms that were expected to disrupt play at Augusta National Golf Club by early afternoon may not threaten opening-round play of the Masters Tournament as much as expected.
Updated forecasts have pushed the threatening weather's arrival in Augusta after 5 p.m., according to the Weather Channel's hour-by-hour forecast.
More than two-thirds of the field are already on the course. The final first-round grouping is scheduled to tee off at 1:53 p.m.
