Schwartzel finds trees to begin round

 

Charl Schwarzel's bid for his second Masters Tournament title in three years got off to a rather ominous start as he sent his tee shot on No. 1 deep into the right trees.
 
Schwartzel's only play from the pines was backwards to the fairway, but his punch clipped a tree branch and remained in the pine straw. Another punch attempt was successful, getting him back to the left rough and he proceeded to make double bogey on the hole.
 
Through four holes, the 2011 champion was 3-over.
