Russell Henley makes cut, feels confident heading into Masters weekend
Russell Henley thought he played “really well” during his second round Friday at Augusta National.
But that doesn’t mean that some parts of the round – especially dealing with windy weather – weren’t tough.
“It was so hard to know the distance,” Henley said.

Henley carded 4-over 76 on Friday, one day after finishing 1-under in difficult conditions. He was 3-over for the opening rounds and made the cut. He missed the cut in his first Masters appearance in 2013, but played into the weekend in 2014 and 2015.
In his opening round Thursday, he tallied just four bogeys and made birdie on five holes. On Friday, he bogeyed three times on the first nine alone and finished with five for the day. He made birdie just once – on No. 2, which he’d also birdied in the first round.
