Snedeker putts well in round of 69
For the third consecutive round, Brandt Snedeker walked away with at least three birdies on his scorecard.
On Saturday, however, they had a much different feel as Snedeker avoided the trouble he had found in the first two rounds. After making more than 10 bogeys or worse through Friday, Snedeker enjoyed a bogey-free round, and the 3-under 69 moved him up the scoreboard to 2-over for the Masters Tournament.
“It was perfect conditions – no wind, and the greens were still pretty receptive,” Snedeker said. “You were able to really go out there and be a little more aggressive than you had been.”

Snedeker jump-started his round by sinking a 23-foot birdie putt on No. 1 and never really cooled off with the putter. After taking a combined 63 putts in the first two rounds, he needed only 27 on Saturday.
Even then, it could have been better. Snedeker made a 24-foot birdie putt on No. 10, but also saw a birdie putt on No. 8 stop inches from the hole and an eagle putt on 13 settle less than a foot away.
Any time he needed to make a testy par putt, however, Snedeker was dialed in.
“It was pretty close,” he said about shooting something in the mid-60s. “I had a couple really good opportunities. I made a bunch of 3-, 4-, 5-footers for par, which are tough around here sometimes, but I wasn’t able to make a bunch of 15-footers, which you have to do.
“All in all, I got it going in the right direction, and hopefully I can build on this for tomorrow.”
