Palmer accumulated numerous awards, trophies in Masters career
Arnold Palmer collected quite a haul of trophies and awards in his 50-year career at the Masters Tournament.
Chief among the prizes are the ones he received as the winner in 1958, 1960, 1962 and 1964.
He received gold medals for each win along with trophies for winning the tournament; starting in 1993, the winner began receiving a sterling replica of the permanent Masters Trophy, which depicts Augusta National’s clubhouse. Palmer was able to obtain those replicas.
“They are certainly unique trophies, just as the Masters is a unique tournament,” Palmer said before his death in September. “Both real treasures.”
According to Masters Journal, Palmer also received the following trophies:
3 engraved silver cigarette boxes (1958, 1960, 1962)
1 engraved sterling ice bucket (1964)
2 silver medals for runner-up (1961, 1965)
6 pairs of crystal goblets for eagles (1972-92)
4 crystal highball glasses for eagles (1957-60)
9 crystal vases for day’s low score (1955-65)
To honor Palmer’s legacy at the Masters, a display was created this year in the Champions Locker Room. The display case includes his green jacket, a 1-iron he donated to the club, a scorecard from his 1964 win and numerous other artifacts.
