Masters announcer Jim Nantz draws crowd at Par-3
Some patrons standing on No. 13 during the Par-3 Contest had to do a double take.
Yes, that was legendary Masters announcer Jim Nantz. He was with his family and drew a crowd taking a photo on one edge of the fairway with his three-year-old son, Jameson.
“I’ve been waiting to do this for a long time,” said Nantz, who started anchoring the Masters in 1989.
Shortly after the quick father-son photo session, Nantz took several photos with patrons standing next to him.
He took another photo holding Jameson and said, “Here’s the future announcer of the Masters.”
