The Tiger Woods guessing game is over. Woods announced on Thursday morning where he’d make his first official PGA Tour start since play resumed after the COVID stoppage. He plans to tee it up at next week’s Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio.

Woods made the announcement on Twitter on Thursday morning. It came along with this statement: “I’ve missed going out and competing with the guys and can’t wait to get back out there.”

The golf world last saw Woods at the end of May, when he partnered with Peyton Manning to take on Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady in The Match II: Champions for Charity. The foursome played Woods’ home course, Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida, on May 24 in driving rain at times. Woods and Manning won the day.

The big takeaway from the match? Woods’ game didn’t show a bit of rust.

Woods has made two official starts in 2020 at the Farmers Insurance Open and the Genesis Invitational.

He has won the Memorial Tournament five times – including three consecutive from 1999-2001 – and last won in 2012.
