Conners opened the tournament with a two-over par 74, before closing with scores of 65, 71 and 69. In addition to his top-10 finish, Conners said a highlight of the week was playing a practice round with fellow Canadian Mike Weir.
“I’ll forever look up to Mike Weir,” Conners said of the 2003 Masters champion. “He was my idol growing up and someone I wanted to be like. To get to share a round together at a place like this is pretty special.”
In two previous Masters appearances, Conners missed the cut as an amateur in 2015 and tied for 46th in 2019.
