As if you weren’t excited enough for the Masters next month, ESPN and Augusta National Golf Club are adding to the hype this week.
The One in November, a half-hour documentary on the behind the scenes operations that led to the November Masters, premieres on Tuesday, March 16, at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN and will re-air eight times ahead of the Masters, April 8-11, and will be available on ESPN+ and Masters.com beginning April 4.
The doc, produced by Augusta National in association with Boardwalk Pictures, will be the first-ever inside look at what goes into putting on the Masters, let alone a major championship during a pandemic.
Viewers will see and hear from tournament officials and executives – including Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley – and will feature appearances from players like Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Ian Poulter, Gary Woodland and Cameron Champ, as well as ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt, the network’s golf anchor and SportsCenter host.
“1 of 1, this place,” said Van Pelt in the preview video below. “There’s nothing else in the game that feels like this, it’s because everything is exactly right.”
