Kevin Kisner finished his first Masters Tournament on a positive note, and he plans to put it to good use in the future.

“I liked today a lot better than the rest of them,” Kisner said Sunday after his even-par 72 gave him a total of 9-over 297. “It was a great experience to be out here, and I’m looking forward to doing it a lot more times.

“I learned a lot, and I got a lot of valuable insight from playing the tournament and will use that in the future.”

The highlight for the Ai­ken golfer came at the par-5 13th, where he made his second eagle of the week. Kis­ner will receive a set of crystal highball glasses, and he joked that he now has one set for him and another for his wife, Brittany.

“I pushed it and it went right at the flag and it went to about two feet,” Kisner said. “I was aiming about 20 feet left and used the slope and it came right out at it. Pretty sweet.”

Kisner collected birdies at Nos. 5, 7, 8 and 12, but he wasn’t happy with his putting for the week.

“I putted so poorly all week that I can’t compete when I’m not making putts inside six feet,” he said. “I missed five today. That’s just pitiful.”

Next up for Kisner is the RBC Heritage at Hilton Head Island, S.C. A year ago, Kisner lost in a playoff to Jim Furyk, but it was the beginning of a breakout season that culminated with a victory and an invitation to the Masters.

“I’m excited. It’s got to feel easier after these four days,” Kisner said. “Hopefully, I can get down there and work on my putting and get some confidence going.”
