Fan Notes
Masters Tournament patron Steve Stricker, of Birmingham, Ala., captured 1,300 photos of Tuesday’s practice round using his Nikon D7000 camera.
He documented scenery at Amen Corner, Fred Couples hitting from pine straw left of the No. 1 fairway, and interesting players and patrons.
Most of the photos are simply for Stricker’s personal enjoyment. He will select the best pictures to post on Facebook and share with family and friends.
“It’s a good opportunity to make people jealous who can’t be here,” Stricker said.
Thienna Huynh, 9, sipped an ice-cold Coca-Cola to help quench her thirst before she began her hunt.
The young golf fan, accompanied by her father’s friend, Tom Le, visited the merchandise shop before starting their search for Tiger Woods and Bubba Watson on the course.
“It’s always fun and good-spirited,” said Le, of Kennesaw, Ga.
