Lee Westwood remains in lead at 5-under in second round
Conditions are starting to warm up at Augusta National Golf Club after a morning that saw Masters Tournament leaders content with par.
First-round leader Lee Westwood still has a share of the top spot after posting eight consecutive pars to start his second round. He sits at 5-under for the tournament, along with Peter Hanson, who redeemed a first-hole double bogey with three consecutive birdies.
Paul Lawrie added to his first-round 3-under 69 with a birdie on the par-3 third this morning to climb to within a stroke of the leaders.
Ben Crane made the turn at 1-under for the day to lead a pack of five golfers at 3-under, including Rory MicIlroy, who is 2-under for the day through six holes.
More than two-thirds of the field is now on the course. The rains from earlier this week and heat from Thursday have given way to overcast skies, cool temperatures and a steady breeze.
