Performers invited to ParTee on the Green

ParTee on the Green will return as a community event during Masters Week.

The City of Augusta’s Parks, Recreation and Facilities, along with downtown businesses and community partners will host ParTee on the Green from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at the Augusta Common.

The dance party will feature music for all ages from beach, soul, pop, jazz, disco, afro beats and more.

A press release announcing the event noted, “Think of it as American Bandstandmeets Soul Train meets Shag City meets Teen Town in this amazing celebration of community and new Augusta golf week tradition.”

ParTee on the Green will include performances by community dance groups, food trucks, a DJ mashup, golf demos, a drum circle, activities for children, and a line dance finale.

Vendors are welcome.

Admission will cost $2 for ages 3 and older; a VIP ticket is $30.

Organizers are accepting applications from all community and youth dance groups wishing to participate in the event. Interested parties should find the ‘performers’ link at parteeaugusta.com.
