Soren Kjeldsen invited back to Masters after strong run

Competing in his first Masters Tournament since 2010, Soren Kjeldsen shot a final-round 71 and finished tied for seventh.

The 40-year-old from Denmark will receive an automatic invitation to next year’s Masters. Kjeldsen was in contention Sunday after opening with a first-nine 34. His momentum slowed with bogeys on Nos. 11, 16 and 17.

He closed with a birdie on No. 18, but the outcome was out of his control by that point. Kjeldsen finished five shots behind champion Danny Willett.
