Tom Watson arrives to play final Masters Tournament

Two-time Masters Tournament champion Tom Watson arrived Sunday at Augusta National Golf Club for his final Masters.

“Lot of good memories here, and I’m looking forward to playing my last time here,” said Watson, 66.

Watson, an eight-time major champion, will be making his 43rd appearance at Augusta National Golf Club this week, which will rank ninth on the career list.

He missed the cut in his first Masters in 1970, before making 21 in a row, including victories in 1977 and 1981.

He last made a cut in 2010.

“It’s kind of come full circle to me,” Watson said. “When I first joined the tour I was just trying to make the cut so I didn’t have to qualify Monday for the next tournament. And I come to my last Masters just hoping I can make the cut.”
