Jon Rahm was disappointed Saturday as he came off the course Saturday at Augusta National.

The 24-year-old had some promising opportunities but could muster only 71. He heads into the final round at 6-under par, seven shots behind leader Francesco Molinari.

Rahm bogeyed No. 4 after an errant tee shot into the trees. He regained momentum with an eagle on No. 13 and a birdie on No. 15, but took a step back with a bogey on No. 18.

“It wasn't great. I got off to a pretty bad start on the first four holes,” he said. “I couldn’t get anything going and then kind of straightened out a little bit. But it took a very long time until I got a birdie which was the eagle on 13, which was great. But there’s a big gap in between when I take those shots, and things weren’t happening.”

As far as momentum is concerned, Rahm sees each day at Augusta National as its own challenge.

“Tomorrow is a whole new day. The only thing that gives me momentum is that I hit it a lot more solid coming in, starting on 8. Actually starting on 7,” he said. “Besides the second shot, all the tee shots were good, and the iron shots were solid. Maybe not on a great line, but it was a little better than the last few days. I kind of ran out of holes to be able to make a little more of a comeback.”

With the expectations of inclement weather Sunday afternoon, tee times were moved up to 7:30 a.m., with the leaders teeing off at 9:30. The players will also be grouped into three, with the tee times split between holes No. 1 and No. 10.

“It's unusual to see a Masters do that, especially split tees. I can't remember the last time it was split tees,” he said. “But it is what it is. It's a thunderstorm, it's heavy, and if it's potentially not being able to finish until Monday, I think it's worth it. Hopefully having everybody tee off at the same time can maybe give an advantage to those of us who have to make a little bit of a comeback.”
